If you dont like The Hunger Games, this tutorial is still cool to watch, she shows good techniques with using a dotting tool. She uses acrylic paint for some of the design.

So there are two reasons behind these nails. 1- I got 4 colors from the new Essie collection yesterday and I needed to use them immediately because they are too freaking pretty and 2- I’m painting nails at an 11th birthday party today and I forgot all of my nail wheels at school so I needed some way for the girls to pick which designs they want. For such random nails, I actually really like them. I think they’re fun! Also that lace on my right hand was a bitch to do… Ug.
